We do our best to answer all questions our supporters may have. Should you have any questions concerning the FYWC please see one of the staff members.

• What is the age requirement for your club?

  Age requirement is from 4 to 18 years of age.

• What if my son/ daughter has never wrestled?

  No problem. We always do our best to have a good Coach to wrestler ratio to provide your son/daughter the needed time to build their confidence and knowledge of the sport.

• What does it cost to sign up?

  Cost is 125.00/ wrestler for the season. Before paying, we encourage you to let your child partake in 2 practice sessions to see if he or she likes it first. We can also work with you if a payment plan is needed.

• How long is the season?

  The regular season runs from October up until AR Youth State. For those wanting to keep advancing, we also have summer practices.

• What does the membership cost cover?

  The cost will cover the USA, ARYW, & OKWA fees which is required to compete in tournaments and sometimes camps. in the US. Money will also be allocated to help with costs for operations. For example, supplies such as mate tape, first aid kits, and snacks for tournaments. On the positive side of things, membership is good until August of the following year.

• What gear is required?

  A singlet, wrestling shoes, and head gear. Before going out and buying these, we ask that you take the opportunity to see us first so we can point you in the right direction. Plus, we have a loaner program.

• Do we have to wrestle in tournaments?

  No. We encourage to let your child build confidence and skill through training and time before having him or her wrestle in tournaments. Through practices and live wrestling scenarios, your child will come around to being ready both physically and mentally, but it has to be his/ her time.

• Do we have to make every tournament?

  No. We don't need to burnout our wrestlers and these are optional as we understand time and money are determining factors.

• What does it cost for tournaments?

  On average, 15.00 / wrestler per tournament not included in membership fee. Entry fee can range from 3.00 to 5.00 per family member.

• Where will the club compete?

  The club will compete in AR, OK, & MO.

• Are parents required to attend practices and tournament?

  Yes we would like to have a parent or legal guardian on site during practices and or tournaments, more for the younger children. Plus, it helps reinforce the support our wrestlers need.

• Can anyone obtain a USA Coach’s card?

  Yes, but to protect the integrity and longevity of the sport we ask you only to resort to one if you have wrestling experience.
